For this week’s assignment, I would like to experiment with world-building using Mid-journey. The goal is to use text-to-image generation tools to visualize the imaginative world I built with my teammates in the class Investigating the Future.

I found this helpful website, Prompt Hero, in which we can find example prompts and figure out how to write prompts to achieve the best effects.

I will use excepts from the world descriptions we wrote as the building block of my prompts. The full world description can be found in the slides below.

Takeaways

Though many successful generations have resulted from lengthy and complex prompts, I discovered that beginning with a really complicated prompt may not be the best idea. Some keywords may lend generations a relatively fixed style, which may not be the one you want. A better workflow might be starting with a more vague prompt, and gradually make the generation more polished by adding more and more details to the prompt.
